Journalist Survey: iPhone vs. BlackBerry

iPhone vs. BlackBerry
For some upcoming articles I am writing for the Poynter Institute, I wanted to get a sense of which is a more popular reporting tool among journalists: the iPhone or the BlackBerry.

I’m also interested in learning some of the features and applications that are most helpful for reporters using these devices and hearing your thoughts on which is the better reporting device. I realize there are many other phones reporters use, but for now, I’m focusing on the iPhone and the BlackBerry, because those are likely the most popular.

I have a personal iPhone 3G, and a BlackBerry Curve that was issued to me by my employer, so I am familiar with both devices. Both help me do my job better.

Please fill out the form below.

Important: If you DO NOT want me to quote you, please say so in the “Other Comments” field. Otherwise, I may include some of your comments in my articles.

Thanks!

Hi Etan. Would you email me a copy of your article once you write it? I’m a Chicago journalist about to take the plunge into the smart phone world, and am wondering which route to go: iPhone or Blackberry. Thanks.
